The New England Patriots won the Super Bowl and ended the season with a perfect 19-0 record — at least it looks that way in Nicaragua. The NFL donated 290 Patriots hats and an equal number of team jerseys trumpeting the slogans “Super Bowl Champions, 19-0” to impoverished children from two small communities in southern Nicaragua. During a recent drive back from Managua, Justin and Zach scouted out the location of the hats and tee, drove thru San Gregorio, and quickly enlisted some local agents (shown in pics) to help them buy a few hats and t-shirts in an attempt to rewite history. All benefited as the guys came away with a little piece of history, while making a small donation to the community of San Gregorio.
Wow…I dont know what to say. This brought a big smile to my face and then a little tear, and then a big tear. Viva Los Pats, but more importantly Viva Le Gente de Sna Gregorio!
Dude, that rocks!
Welcome to the alternate universe that is Nicaragua! Love it!
